Our mission is to assist clients in their dealings with China. The ultimate target is to help them achieve the best in their daily life and work in China by means of effective communication.

CHINA INKLING was founded in 1999 by Wim Polet, a China specialist and consultant.
After graduating from the Chinese Department at the University of Leuven, Wim was selected by the Belgian government to take a one-year postgraduate course in the Chinese Language at the famous Nanjing University in the People’s Republic of China.
Back in Belgium, he co-founded the China Academy in Brussels, a private institute offering a wide variety of China Training Sessions to a broad public. After working as a project manager at the University of Leuven’s China Europe Institute for 6 months, Wim was asked by the Flemish Association for Cooperative and Technical Assistance (VVOB) to work in Beijing as its Chief Representative. While there, he acquired more intercultural skills as the supervisor and coach of more than 20 Belgian VVOB experts in cooperation with the Chinese Education Authorities.

The members of CHINA INKLING’s team are Chinese people with European degrees (graduate or postgraduate), and Europeans with long experience of life and work in China.
